Wow. Launch Sunday was Awesome! Fun, energetic, engaging. If you weren’t there, I think you missed out on somethign really neat!
A few highlights (in no particular order):
*Pumpkin Spice Coffee!
*Great Music!
*An engaging children’s area– Little Miami Jr. High proved to be a GREAT place as the children, preschool, and nursery all had a perfect places to meet.
*A resonably clear message from the Bible (although you’ll need to confirm that through other people). Some people decided to exchange “being good enough” for ”being forgiven” when answering the question “how do you get to heaven?”!
*A refreshment table spread that could have fed an army and looked amazing. So many children on a sugar high!
*Zero glitches in technology (when does that ever happen?)
*Even the rain was refreshing for those who worked hard stayed to tear down!
*A great spirit of team work and unity to transform an ordinary cafetorium into a place where people could come an for many, many guests (there were approximately 120 or so total)
*A great spirit of community as many people stayed long after the worship experience to chat (and drink that pumpkin spice coffee!)
*A sense of intrigue seemed to envelop the morning– a curiosity among people about what we were doing, and that something good was beginning (attributed to a strong sense of God’s presence in that place)
I’ll post some pictures when they become available!
Totally looking forward to next week where we’ll tackle more assumption that are so common in our culture regarding who God is and what he’s like. Bring a friend! Bring 5 friends!
