We’re in a series called “Going Green” and I’m inviting people to take the 90 day Tithe Challenge. Actually, God is inviting people to take the tithe challenge. In Malachi 3:10, God says:
”Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me.
”But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’
”In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the LORD Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
The essence of the tithe challenge is to “test God” and see if God won’t “throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you won’t have room for it.” Many people have taken the challenge– this is going to be an amazing 90 days!
If you are a tither, I’m intersted in knowing your story: how has God “opened the floodgates of heaven” as you have been faithful to him in the tithe? email me: adam (at) mykingsway (dot) net

NObody can biblically give a holy tithe today because true tithes were always only food from inside Israel. God never commanded the Church to tithe. If you claim to be a legal tithe-recipeint, then Numbers 18 commands you to kill others tryhing to worship God directly and forbids you from owning property.

The shift from the Old Covenant issues to the New Covenant has certainly caused division among scholars and peopel in general. The position you hold is held by many.
It would be impossible to enter into a conversation here about Legalism vs. Grace, Old Testament/New Testament theology, so let me point you to a website I find interesting and informative on this topic, especially when it concerns tithing: It’s RAndy Alcorn’s “Eternal Perspectives” website: Here’s a direct link to some interesting stuff…
