Prayer

July 21st, 2010

I think intercessory prayer is one of the greates neglected ministries of the church today.  Prayer connects people to the fellowship and the power of God. Yet we often totally ignore it.

KW will be handing these out wherever we go in the near future.  They are magnets, so they can stick on refrigerators across Maineville, making the people at KW available to potentially minister and bless people.

Gulf Coast Mission Trip

July 13th, 2010

5 of us headed down to the Gulf to work with Habitat for Humanity.  Still unbeleivable how much hurricane Katrina still impacts the region.  Love trips like this because its evidence of KW pursuing it’s vision to be “sent.”  Some pics.  (Planning a shorter trip to South East Kentucky– stay tuned for details)

“David: A man after God’s own Heart”

July 12th, 2010

New Series at KingsWay starting this sunday.  Here’s the tag:

David was a humble shepherd, gifted song-writer, brilliant military leader, passionate worshipper of God, ancestor of Jesus, and King of Israel during its “golden years.” His life was also spotted by multiple failures: adultery, murder, betrayal and other moments of disobedience to God.  Yet despite such character flaws, God called him “a man after my own heart.”  Such a phrase gives us hope.  Discover how we, like David, can grow and pursue godliness despite our spotted hearts.
